The Pre-Assessment Principle
Pelangi does not begin work on the basis of a verbal description. Every piece is assessed at the bench first, with findings documented and shared with the owner before any service begins. Owners are never committed to work they have not had the chance to consider.
The Bench Observation Period
Following movement regulation, we observe the movement for a further period before returning the watch. This is not billed as an additional service — it is part of how we verify that the adjustment has held before the piece goes back into daily wear.
No Refinishing by Default
Unlike many general repair shops, Pelangi does not offer polishing or refinishing as part of its standard services. For vintage pieces, unsolicited polishing removes original surface character that cannot be restored. We leave cases as they are unless the owner specifically requests otherwise.
Honest Referral When Needed
When a watch requires work outside our three service areas — a full movement overhaul, crystal replacement, or complicated chronograph repair — we say so plainly and direct the owner toward appropriate specialists. We do not attempt work beyond our scope.
